I’m a 20-something living in Boston. My day job is working for an environmental advocacy non-profit, but to find me in the evenings just follow the trail of thread and listen for the soft whir of the machine. For the most part I’m a dressmaker, though I occasionally find myself venturing into the arena of knick-knackery. The aforementioned sewing machine is a hand-me-down Elna from my mother. The sewing skillz are also hand-me-downs from my very talented mother. I’ve only been back on the sewing scene for a couple of years, but my other interests include biking, knitting, cooking, playing the ukulele and gardening.
Thanks for the shout-out! Love the blog!!!
Love, Mom
I am moved to tears by your blog about your truly amazing mother. I feel fortunate to have counted her, among millions of others that knew Susan, as a quilting, Y friend. She was truly a gifted quilter and so generously shared what she knew. She taught me so much in such a short time. My heart goes out to you and your family. With deepest sympathy, Elaine
